Key Responsibilities

  • Data collection and management: Gathering data, entering, cleaning and managing databases for accuracy.
  • Conducting Literature reviews: Searching for, reviewing and summarising published literature related to the research topics.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Performing data analysis, preparing reports, presentations and manuscripts for publication.
  • Land/ Field Operations: Maintain lab equipment, preparing samples.
  • Administration: Manging project related correspondence, monitoring budgets and attending project meetings
  • Grant proposal writing: Preparing persuasive proposals to secure funding for specific projects.
  • Performing other duties as instructed, if essential to the research activities of the Institute.

Requirements

  • First degree in Rural and Urban Development, or Rural Development, or Agrobusiness Management and Entrepreneurship, with at least a 2.1 pass.
  • At least three (3) years’ post-graduate experience in a research environment
