Responsibilities for Receptionist

  • Receive visitors in a polite and appropriate manner
  • Maintain reception area and all common areas in a clean and tidy manner at all times
  • Operate standard office equipment, including the switchboard, fax machine, and computer
  • Taking of daily stock movement figures and capturing invoices into the system as and when required
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of visitor requests and of calls received
  • Receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail
  • Take inventory of supplies and restock as needed

Person’s specification

  • At least 2 passes at Advanced level
  • Secretarial or Receptionist qualification
  • Additional qualification in Sales or Basic Accounting an added advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong phone skills
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English and at least 2 local languages
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritising tasks without guidance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • At least 3 traceable references
