Key Responsibilities
- Develop standardized investment frameworks, templates and criteria for identifying, screening and preparing investable nature-positive projects.
- Train global teams on developing high-quality investable pipelines for nature finance.
- Provide technical advice to country teams on project sourcing, pre-feasibility analysis, financial structuring and blended finance.
- Support the design of credible revenue streams, including biodiversity credits and ecosystem service payments.
- Develop guidance on enabling environments that facilitate private-sector investment in nature.
- Develop guidance for national working groups engaging the private sector in nature finance.
- Support the integration of private and finance-sector engagement into the updated BIOFIN Workbook methodology.
- Collaborate with multilateral development banks and national development banks to identify project pipeline opportunities.
- Map, prioritize and manage relationships with financial institutions and corporate partners.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree or equivalent in Management, Finance, Economics or a related field , or
- A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant fields with additional qualifying professional experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience with a Master’s degree , or 7 years with a Bachelor’s degree .
- Experience in finance, development banking, private equity or impact investment linked to environment, nature, climate or sustainable finance.
- Experience managing relationships with private-sector partners, investors and financiers, including social and environmental impact investors.
- Experience in the private sector, including corporate, private financial institutions or development finance institutions.
- Experience developing pipelines of bankable projects in developing countries.
