A consultancy opportunity has arisen within a local human rights NGO which works nationally on access to justice and human rights issues. The organisation is implementing multiple donor funded projects across the different geographical areas within Zimbabwe. We invite applications from consultants to offer project management training services which will empower staff with requisite knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to handle project activities so as to meet the project requirements. The Consultant should be able to demonstrate their skills, knowledge and experience in the application. The Consultant will be required to provide services over a period of 2 days.
Consultant activities
The Consultant will: Identify gaps in project implementation and management from staff and come up with means to cover existing gaps so as to maximise impact of various interventions under different projects; Provide training to staff on project implementation and management; Come up with a Project Planning, Implementation and Management template that will be followed by all staff to ensure uniformity.
Consultant deliverables
The Consultant will: Conduct a 2 day training of 33 staff members; Produce an end of workshop report at the end of the training
Skills and competencies
Knowledge of human rights and access to justice issues; Appreciation of the NGO sector; Sharp analytical and verbal reasoning skills
Qualifications and experience
LLBS /MBA/Project Management Qualification/Social Science or relevant degree; Experience working in civil society
Additional information
The training will be conducted physically, adhering to the Ministry of Health and Child Care COVID-19 guidelines. The physical training will enable participants to work as teams whilst having practical training sessions together; These activities will be conducted in Harare.
