Key Responsibilities
- Integrated Project Management Framework: The consultant will develop and maintain an integrated framework covering the four policy moments, including: Consolidated project plans and timelines, Key milestones and critical deadlines, Dependency mapping across workstreams, Identification of delivery risks and mitigation recommendations.
- Coordination, Planning and Advisory Support: The consultant will provide coordination support through agreed stakeholder engagement mechanisms, including: Preparing meeting agendas and summary notes, Maintaining action and decision logs, Providing periodic updates on progress, risks and dependencies, Recommending ways to improve alignment across advocacy, communications, development and leadership activities.
- Advisory Support to the Project Lead: The consultant will provide ad hoc strategic, coordination and delivery support to advance project objectives. Responsibilities may include: Preparing briefing materials, Supporting stakeholder mapping, Contributing to advocacy planning, Identifying and supporting development opportunities, Preparing leadership briefings, Coordinating external partners, Supporting conversations with development stakeholders, Following up on agreed actions.
- Policy Moment Readiness Assessments: Ahead of each international policy moment, the consultant will prepare readiness assessments covering: Progress against agreed plans, Outstanding actions and dependencies, Key risks and mitigation measures, Recommendations to support effective participation and delivery.
- Delegation Coordination Support: The consultant will provide logistical and planning coordination support for ClientEarth participation at: UN General Assembly, UN CBD COP17, UNFCCC COP31, BBNJ COP1. This may include: Preparing planning trackers and briefing schedules, Coordinating information flows between participants and relevant teams, Monitoring readiness against agreed participation plans, Providing on-site support to the delegation at COP31.
- Monitoring and Reporting: The consultant will prepare periodic written reports covering: Status of agreed activities, Progress against milestones, Emerging risks and dependencies, Recommended corrective actions.
- Post-Event Evaluation: Following each policy moment, the consultant will prepare a lessons-learned report. A consolidated end-of-assignment report will also assess: Delivery against objectives, Key observations, Recommendations for future international policy engagement, Opportunities for process improvement.

- Significant experience managing and coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Experience supporting events, meetings and international processes.
- Strong risk management and stakeholder coordination capabilities.
- Experience developing project management frameworks.
- Experience preparing status reports and lessons-learned assessments.
- Strong organisational, planning and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and provide practical project management advice.
- Experience with environmental NGOs, legal or policy advocacy, and international environmental processes would be desirable.
