PROCUREMENT OFFICER – WORKS, GOODS & SERVICES (2)
Petrotrade, a leading player in Zimbabwe’s petroleum industry, seeks to engage highly competent and results-oriented Procurement Officers (Works, Goods & Services). The role is central to ensuring value-for-money procurement, compliance with statutory and internal governance requirements, and supporting operational efficiency across the organisation.
Key Job Functions

Leading strategic sourcing initiatives and evaluating potential suppliers by sourcing, negotiating with, and managing suppliers.

Managing end-to-end procurement processes including requisitions, tendering, competitive bidding, and purchase order administration, ensuring purchases are cost-effective, of sufficient quality, and compliant with company policies and regulations and the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act (PPDPA).

Handling budget planning, contract administration, risk management, and maintaining vendor relationships.

Drafting, reviewing, and administering contracts and service-level agreements.

Monitoring budgets, analysing market trends, and implementing cost-saving strategies.

Conducting supplier and vendor management activities including performance reviews, quality checks, and risk assessments.

Preparing procurement reports, spend analyses, and KPI updates.

Providing procurement guidance to internal departments and supporting cross-functional projects.
Requirements of the Job
-
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Procurement.

A certification in Supply Chain Management such as ZIPS, CPP, CIPS would be an added advantage.

At least 5 years’ experience in the procurement of works, goods and services.

Knowledge of procurement law, contract administration, and compliance regulations.

Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.

Strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
-
Strong knowledge of oil and gas procurement processes, materials, and services.

High integrity and strong ethical standards are vital in managing large contracts and finance
-
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
