Procurement Officer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Planning procurement activities Of the procuring entity.
  2. Securing the adoption Of the appropriate procurement methods by the entity
  3. Ensuring that procedures and regulations are adhered to  all the time.
  4. Advising the Accounting officer, PMU and Evaluation committee on procurement activities.
  5. Preparation for bidding document for Council in accordance with the law.
  6. Preparation of procurement individual plans, procurement and returns.
  7. Ensuring that goods and services are delivered on time.
  8. To work closely with all departments in their supply chain activities right from need identification and specification to product or service delivery.
  9. Supervise in the procurement sectors.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 “O” Levels including English and Maths
  • At least a Higher Diploma in Purchase and Supply with a bias towards Procurement, or any related qualification.
  • Membership of a Professional board for Purchasing and Supply, a must
  • A diploma in Purchase and Supply
  • 3 years experience in the Procurement field
  • One Who can work under pressure, and a self starter.
