PROSERVE – PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Job Title: PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Client/Sector: A well established manufacturer and supplier of fast moving consumer goods in the agro-processing industry.

Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer.

Key Job Functions:

• Takes charge of procurement of goods and services for the whole company cost effectively in line with Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act [Chapter 22:23] and Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Regulations.

• Develops strategies, policies, and procedures to create a world class Procurement Management Unit.

• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement.

• Overseeing contract development, administration, supplier evaluation, monitoring and evaluation of rolling contracts.

• Directs activities of all functions in procurement, in bound logistics, warehousing of raw materials, packaging and other inputs.

• Serving as the primary contact for procurement related questions, policy and procedure interpretation and alignment by all departments.

• Manages inventory and establishes controls to ensure optimal performance and minimize supply chain risks.

• Carries out end to end effective supply chain management.

• Establish annual goals and objectives in line with corporate objectives, and manage performance to ensure attainment of set goals.

Requirements of the Job (Executive position):

• Must be a holder of a Procurement or Supply Chain degree.

• A Professional qualification such as CIPS.

• A minimum of 10 years relevant work experience, 5 years of which should have been at a Senior Management level.

• Should understand and have experience with the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) processes and procedures.

• Thorough knowledge of the Public Procurement Act and other related laws.
