Vacancy : Procurement Manager
The job exist to ensure all public procurement is done in a such manner that is transparent , fair , hornets , cost , effective competitive and in compliance with the provisions of the PPDPA Act and Regulations
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective to be incorporated into the Authority`s strategy
- Prepares the annual Procurement Plan and ensures its submitted for approval in line with the PPDPA Act Chapter 22:23
- Approves purchase orders and organizes and confirms delivery of goods and services
- Performs risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements
- Controls the procurement budget and promotes a culture and long term saving on procurement costs
- Generates procurement reports for weekly ,monthly and quarterly reporting
- Monitors and update relevant departments regarding price fluctuations of goods and vendor pricing
- Works closely with the legal department to ensure contract terms are favorable to the Authority
- Delegates tasks and supervises the work of procurement specialists
- Identifies areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- BSc Procurement /Purchasing and Supply ,Supply Chain Management
- CIPS professional Diploma
- Must have a minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar environment
