Key Responsibilities
- Feed and provide clean drinking water to all birds twice daily.
- Monitor the health, growth and overall condition of poultry.
- Report any illnesses, injuries or mortalities immediately.
- Administer basic medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in poultry houses and surrounding areas.
- Monitor feed usage and assist with stock management.
- Support the sale and handling of live birds when required.
- Ensure compliance with biosecurity and animal welfare standards.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Certificate in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Alternatively, an Ordinary Level qualification with relevant practical poultry experience will be considered.
- At least 1-2 years’ experience in poultry keeping, preferably in broiler or layer management.
- Experience in live bird sales is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of poultry health, feeding and biosecurity practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
