Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the poultry farm.
  • Manage breeding flocks, brooding, growers and layer units.
  • Ensure strict adherence to biosecurity and animal welfare standards.
  • Monitor bird health and coordinate vaccination and treatment programs.
  • Supervise farm workers and ensure productivity targets are met.
  • Maintain accurate production, mortality, feed and inventory records.
  • Monitor feed consumption and ensure efficient feed management.
  • Report production performance and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of poultry houses and equipment.

Requirements

  • Diploma or practical experience of over 5 years in poultry production.
  • At least 3 years’ practical experience supervising a commercial poultry farm.
  • Strong knowledge of poultry breeding, hatchery operations, biosecurity and disease control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
  • Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
  • A clean Class 4 driver’s licence is required.
  • Experience in driving a motorbike is essential.
