Position summary

The job requires a mature mechanical engineer responsible for planning, directing and coordinating of all mechanical activities concerned with design, construction, modification and maintenance of equipment and machinery within the ethanol production and processing plant.

Duties and responsibilities

• Establishing  mechanical standards ad policies installation, modification,quality control testing, operating procedures inspection and maintenance of plant equipment and machinery according to professional engineering principles and safety regulations.
• Coordinating and monitoring identified mechanical capital improvement

• Collaborating with various departments to maintain mechanical integrity of all plant programs
• Interfacing with HR in the effective recruitment of competent personnel and recommending training programs.

Qualifications

• Professionally registered Mechanical Engineer.
• At least 10 years experience of which 5 years should have been spent preferably in a sugar milling industry.

• Possesses high level of technical, professional and analytical ability where problems are complex.
• Proven and demonstrated knowledge in project management and planned maintenance.
• Excellent planning, time and management skills.
• Display interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with subordinates and business partners to meet business goals.
