NetOne Cellular (Private) Limited seeks to recruit highly motivated, outstanding, and results-oriented individuals to fill the following positions.
OPTIMISATION ENGINEERS x 6

RESPONSIBILITY

The incumbents shall be responsible to the Senior Optimisation Engineer.

KEY JOB PURPOSE

Monitors end-to-end network performance by participating in a series of tests, identifying network quality issues, reporting them, and taking necessary actions to resolve them guided by the Network Optimisation Policy and Procedures.

PRINCIPAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Carries out drive tests, tunes radio parameters, solves coverage and capacity issues, and resolves customer complaints timely and cost-effectively for 2G, 3G, and 4G and any other future technology;
2. Ensures compliance to network related regulatory requirements;
3. Carries out drive test routes, set up and carries out benchmarking tests;
4. Analyzes statistics per RAT, DT logs, and all related network tests data and makes appropriate recommendations and actions;
5. Carries out new site integration tests by performing single site verification and DTs for commissioned sites;
6. Carries out network end-to-end analysis in collaboration with Planning and Operations teams and give recommendations;
7. Prepares daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports;
8. Maintains vehicle, tools, and asset register and updates it regularly;
9. Collects and maintains hardware and software parameter information for the Optimisation database.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

⦁ Bachelor of Science Honors Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent;
⦁ Two years of experience in a similar environment;
⦁ A clean class 4 driver’s license is a must;
⦁ Knowledge of telecommunication systems and demonstrated knowledge of GSM, 3G, and 4G technologies;
⦁ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite is a must.
