Marketing Executive
Commencement Date : 1 SEPTEMBER 2018
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The position serves to Assist the Communications Officer in further developing effective information exchange and communication, collect and disseminate documentation about programme results and impact in relation to objectives set in Global AAI strategies, AAZ country programme strategy and AAZ Communications Strategy. The position will assist with in the execution of communications activities and will take personal responsibility for information activities as delegated by the Communications Officer.
KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS
- Writes and edits AAZ publications with supervision from Communications Officer
- Collects and gathers stories of change, case studies and blogs to capture impact of AAZ and partner work
- Assists in profiling the impact of AAZ and partner work on AAZ stories hub, HIVE and website, as well as on social media and other platforms
- Follows up with partners on all communications related activities as planned by the Communications unit
- Assists in organising press conferences and writing press releases
- Assists in organising networking meetings with stakeholders and members of the media
- Attends networking meetings with like-minded organisations, CSOs as delegated by communications officer, SMT
- Assists in development and dissemination of IEC materials to market AAZ and partner work
- Reviews sponsorship communications materials to promote quality documentation
- Facilitates the development and updating of a portfolio of evidence showing the impact of AAZ and partner work, and coverage of other issues relevant to AAZ to enable the organisation to effectively monitor its media coverage
- Participates actively in the implementation communication strategies for AAZ campaigns
The candidate should be studying towards a degree in Journalism and Media Studies or related discipline from a recognized institute.

2. Capacity to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
