The Marketing and Value Chain Expert will be reporting to the Projects/ Business Advisory Manager. The Expert is expected to develop, coordinate, and implement agricultural marketing and value chain development initiatives that improve market access, competitiveness, value addition, investment, and commercialization of agricultural commodities. The incumbent will provide technical support to agricultural value chains, facilitate strategic partnerships, promote domestic and export market opportunities, and support implementation of the Agriculture Marketing Authority (AMA) mandate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement market and value chain development strategies for priority agricultural commodities.
  • Identify market opportunities and constraints affecting agricultural value chains.
  • Conduct value chain mapping, analysis, and competitiveness assessments.
  • Promote value addition, agro-processing, and commercialization initiatives.
  • Facilitate market linkages between producers, processors, buyers, exporters, financial institutions, and investors.
