Key Responsibilities

  • Identifies and secures new business opportunities, partnerships, sponsorships, and strategic alliances.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with government institutions, corporates, SMEs, industry associations, and international organisations.
  • Prepares and delivers business proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Leads the planning, coordination, and execution of exhibitions, expos, conferences, trade fairs, and networking events.
  • Liaises with exhibitors, sponsors, suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure successful event delivery.
  • Develops exhibition schedules, floor plans, marketing timelines, budgets, and operational plans.
  • Builds long-term relationships with exhibitors, sponsors, clients, media houses, government agencies, and business associations.
  • Represents the organisation at industry events, conferences, networking forums, and business meetings.
  • Coordinates public relations activities and media engagement to enhance the organisation’s visibility.
  • Prepares monthly marketing, sales, and business development reports.
  • Monitors marketing expenditure and ensure efficient utilisation of budgets.
  • Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend strategies for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Professional marketing qualification (CIM, IMM, Digital Marketing Certification, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing, business development, event management, or exhibition management.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and coordinating large-scale exhibitions, trade fairs, conferences, or similar events.
  • Proven ability to generate business, secure sponsorships, and build strategic partnerships.
  • Experience in digital marketing, branding, and corporate communications.
  • Experience working within exhibitions, hospitality, tourism, property, events, or conference management environments will be an added advantage.
  • Strong strategic marketing and business development skills.
  • Excellent project and event management capabilities.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
