Key Responsibilities
- Executing business valuations, financial modelling, feasibility studies, due diligence and other corporate finance assignments
- Preparing high quality financial analysis, reports, proposals and client presentations
- Supporting mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, restructuring and strategic advisory engagements
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Building and maintaining relationships with prospective clients and referral partners
- Preparing proposals, tenders and pitch documents
- Managing the Corporate Finance business development pipeline
- Preparing monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and engagement profitability analysis
- Coordinating billing, WIP and collections
- Overseeing client on boarding, AML/KYC processes and relevant regulatory compliance
- Coordinating consultants and supporting the day to day administration of the Corporate Finance & Strategy practice
Requirements
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking, Business or a related discipline
- Approximately 5-8 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong experience in corporate finance, transaction advisory, valuations, financial modelling, investment analysis or consulting
- Excellent Excel, financial modelling and analytical skills
- Strong report writing and PowerPoint presentation skills
- Experience dealing with clients and managing assignments
- A strong commercial mindset and genuine interest in business development
- The ability to work independently, take ownership and manage multiple priorities
- Professional qualifications such as CA(Z), ACCA, CFA or CIMA would be a strong advantage. Exposure to AML/KYC, SECZim requirements or a regulated financial services environment
