LOCUM MEDICAL OFFICERS
The following fixed term contract vacancies (locums) have arisen within the Tongaat Hulett Zimbabwe operations for the period 20 January 2021 to March 31 2021.
In order to comply with the Company’s new governance framework, persons interested in these positions are requested to apply.
Specific Requirements include:
Entity: Hippo Valley Estates Medical Centre & Colin Saunders Hospital Triangle Limited
Position: Locum Medical Officer (x3)
Reporting to: Senior Medical Officer
Responsibilities
- Conduct themselves in a manner befitting the profession and adhere to medical principles.
- Manages and implements day-to-day patient care
- Carry out medical examinations and treatment for both patients in the wards and out-patients
- Diagnose and make prognoses of medical condition
- Carry out daily ward rounds
- Compiles and maintains up to date case records as well as medical reports
- Operative care on elective and emergency cases
- Recommend emergency referrals for patients
- Adheres to Safety, Health and Environmental requirements and enforces adherence to SHE standards regulations and requirements applicable to the area of responsibility.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees
- ATLS and ACLS certification confers an added advantage
- Full and current registration as Medical Officer with Medical and Dental Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe
- At least five years’ practical experience in all major disciplines of medicine including general medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics, anesthetics and casualty
- Familiarity with Occupational Safety, Health and Environment management systems
- Possession of a clean class 4 driver’s license
