Legal Officer
The main purpose or the position is to ensure that customer loans are properly documented, closed and that loan agreements are well understood by the borrowers.

The duties and responsibilities of the position include:
• Providing legal advice to the management on legal issues pertaining to all company affairs
• Advising and preparing company contracts with other parties.
• Representing the company in court of law, quasi judiciary and administrative tribunals.
• Preparing and reviewing of all legal documents.
• Mitigation to promote the bank business objectives.
• Providing legal assistance in recovery of overdue loans to ensure quick and smooth recovery of overdue loans.

Qualifications And Experience 
The Legal Officer requires good practical knowledge of all legal miters and requirements pertaining to lending in the financial services sector and the foresight to see how the intricate day-to-day activities link with and support the achievement of the vision and mission of the EmpowerBank. In this regard, specific qualifications and requirements include:

• Bachelor of Laws
• Three (3)years relevant experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills in a cross-cultural environment,
• Good time management, analytical and problem solving skills:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
