LEGAL MANAGER

Applications are invited from experienced, results oriented and suitably qualified persons for the above-mentioned position which has arisen at a large Harare based manufacturing company.

Responsible to: Company Secretary

Key Functions:

• Assisting in the evaluation and identification of new organizational risks and exposure.
• Drafting, reviewing and providing legal advice on all contracts/agreements and legal documents.
  Facilitating title deeds registry and follow ups.
• Advising business units and departments on legal matters.
• Investigating if the company or a staff member has not/ is not complying with the law.
  Primarily oversee lawsuits.
  Ensureing compliance to laws and regulations.
  Advising on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with different deals.
• Researching and anticipating unique legal issues that could impact the company.
• Reviewing advertising and marketing materials to ensure that they are in compliance with legal requirements.
  Providing training to the company on legal topics.
  Report preparation for assessment and presentation before the senior officials.
  Negotiating contracts for the company.
  Securing the company and all its possessions from any legal problems.
  Documenting and keeping all the legal documents securely.

Qualifications & Experience:

• ABachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
• AMaster of Laws in corporate law or other relevant area (LLM) an added advantage.
• Registered Legal Practitioner.
• Member of Law Society of Zimbabwe is an added advantage.
• Atleast 5 years legal experience, preferably in corporate law practice.
  Strong knowledge about corporate laws and regulations.
  Excellent knowledge and skills in interpreting Zimbabwean laws.
• High level computer literacy.
  Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
