JUNIOR MINING ENGINEER
ROLE OVERVIEW
Managing the open pit operations , mine planning and ore generation in a safe and sustainable manner
Specific Duties
- Responsible for mine design and planning and ensuring adherence to the mine plan
- Ore generation and ensuring achievement of budget
- Ensuring adherence to mining and safety regulations and ensuring zero harm to personnel and equipment
- Developing budgets for the mining department and monitoring expenditure
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Degree/ Diploma in mining engineering
- Full Blasting Licence
- At least 3 years experience in a similar position
- Open pit mining experience an added advantage
- Knowledge of SHEQ systems ISO 14001 , 9001 and 45001
