Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of IT AUDITOR which have arisen within the Judicial Service Commission. The Commission is a dynamic organization that comprises competent and professional staff.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The IT Auditor will assist the Principal IT Internal Auditor in:

Performing detailed evaluation of internal control and audit the reviews of computer information systems and recommend improvements that solve the deficiencies.

• Performing information control review to include IT Governance, system development, op. erating systems, system security, programming, networks and databases, communication controls, backup, disaster recovery, and system maintenance.
  Performing risk assessments, including identification, evaluation, and documentation of business risks and controls.
  Performing reviews of internal control procedures and security for systems under development and/or enhancements to current systems.
• Preparing audit working papers and detailed audit findings to ensure that adequate documentation exists to support the completed audit and conclusions.
• Gathering and presenting adequate, sufficient, and reliable audit evidence and other technical information in a clear, concise, and accurate manner for principal IT Auditor’s review.
• Following up on acquittal of previous audit findings to ensure that management has taken corrective action (s).
• Assisting and training other audit staff in the use of CATs and in developing methods, programs for review and information analysis of computerized information systems.
• Collaborating with financial and operational audit teams to ensure that IT related risks are identified and assessed in their audit programs and coordinate work with the teams in order to achieve adequate and complete audit coverage of all processes.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

COMPETENCE AND SKILLS FOR POST:
The person must possess:

• Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent;
• 3 years’ experience in information technology auditing.
• Substantial progress towards Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification,
  ISACA and the IIA membership is an added advantage.
• Demonstrate understanding of CAATs.
