AUDIT DEPARTMENT

Internal Audit Clerk (1 Post)

Reporting to the Internal Auditor the incumbent will be expected to perform the
following duties:

Duties

The successful candidate will be required to:-

• Scrutinise accounting and other records for compliance with IFRS and
  organisational policies;
• Perform basic value-for-money audits;
• Review internal control systems and making recommendations;
• Undertake or support adhoc special audit investigations;
• Support the preparation and implementation of annual audit plan and
  programmes;
• Assist in the monitoring and review of corrective action taken on internal
  and external audit findings.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Internal
  Auditing, from a university recognised by ZIMCHE.
• Significant progress in acquiring a respected professional qualification in
  Auditing or Accountancy.
• A minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience in an auditing,
  investigation or accounting role in a reputable organisation.

Preference will be for candidates who in addition to meeting the above criteria
also demonstrate the following attributes:-


• Strong analytical skills;
• Professionalism and strong work ethics;
• Willingness to work long and odd hours as and when the need arises;
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
• Knowledge of accounting software, especially Pastel and Sage Evolution
