Job Title: ICT TEACHER

Reporting To: Agriculture and Technical Training Manager
Key Customers: Students, parents/guardians, staff members, and education authorities
Purpose of Role:
Teach learners on how to use computers and to design and develop appropriate computer instructional materials throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging ICT lessons.
- Teach basic computer skills, keyboarding, coding fundamentals, and the use of educational software.
- Integrate ICT into other subjects to enhance learning across the curriculum.
- Administers and grade tests for all materials sent from other staff members before printing.
- Manage and maintain ICT equipment, interactive boards, and the computer lab.
- Creates individual address and log-on profile for individual students.
- Assists staff with ICT-related challenges and ICT-based platforms.
- Be the school’s interface with the IT department on all ICT matters and manage our social platforms.
- Participate in school activities, clubs, and innovation programmes, e.g., coding and robotics.
- Adhere to child safeguarding, protection, and school ICT policies at all times.
- Engages in continuous professional development to keep up with emerging educational technologies.
- Provides support and guidance to learners and teachers in effectively integrating AI and other digital tools into teaching and learning.
- Initiates and implements systems, procedures, and other student management issues relating to the use of school computers.
- Complies with all SHE-related rules and procedures given by the management.
Requirements
- A teaching Diploma from a recognizable college.
- A degree or diploma in ICT is a prerequisite.
- At least two years of teaching experience at an ATS school.
- Ability to coach any two of the following sporting activities is an added advantage: swimming, hockey, rugby, tennis, or cricket.
