Defold Mine is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Officer to join its team.
Reports to: The Acting General Manager

Purpose Of The Job:
The position exists to provide support to the Human Resources Manager in all aspects of HR management, including recruitment and selection, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HR administration.

Key principle accountabilities for the incumbent:
• Sources and attract qualified candidates for open positions
• Screens resumes and conduct initial interviews
• Assists in coordinating the selection process
• Manages employee relations issues, including grievances and disciplinary actions.
• Provides advice and support to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
• Conducts investigations and resolves employee complaints in a fair and timely manner.
• Provides advice and support on HR policies and procedures
• Supports the performance management process
• Identifies training and development needs and coordinate training programs
• Administers compensation and benefits programs
• Maintains accurate records of HR activities
• Ensures compliance with legal requirements.
• Assists in the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures
• Responds to employee inquiries and provide timely information.
• Assists in preparation of the Payroll.

The ideal incumbent must possess the following minimum qualifications, competences and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management ora related field
• IPMZ Diploma
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar HR role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possession of a clean class 4 driver’s license
• Sound knowledge and application of payroll systems
