The Macroeconomic & Financial Management Institute of Eastern and Southern Africa (MEFMI) is inviting applications from qualified professionals from its member countries for three managerial positions at its Secretariat in Harare, Zimbabwe.

The vacancies are part of MEFMI’s mission to build macroeconomic, sovereign debt and financial sector management capacity across Eastern and Southern Africa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Align human resource planning and talent requirements with MEFMI’s strategic priorities.
  • Strengthen performance management, accountability and productivity.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, recruitment, onboarding, staff development and retention.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and systems.
  • Drive leadership development, coaching, mentoring and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Industrial Psychology, Organisational Psychology or a related field.
  • Demonstrable understanding of strategic and operational HR management.
  • At least five years of progressive professional experience, including at least three years at supervisory or managerial level in human resource management.
  • Strong people management and interpersonal skills.
