POSITION                                            HEALTH INFORMATION SYSTEMS OFFICER

REPORTING TO                                CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

DURATION                                          FIVE – YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT

Key Result Area:

1. Developing and implementing ICT Policies anti procedures including, risk management systems and disaster recovery policies.
2. Managing NBSZ in forma lion systems and assets.
3. Capacitating and developing staff on NBSZ in format ion systems.
4. Compiling periodic (monthly, quarterly, annually or as needed) NBSZ information systems reports for decision making.
5. Developing information systems strategies, work plans, annual budgets and mobilizing resources for strategy implementation
6. Developing the NBSA information systems change management programmes.
7. Identifying information systems problems are as and implementing strategic solutions.
8. Developing internal  and external service level agreements.
9. Collaborating with government agencies and ICT development partners on information systems.
10. Integrating and digitalizing NBSZ information systems.
11. Configuring NBSZ information systems hardware and software for data integrity.
12. Enhancing NBSZ information systems security, network access and back-up systems.
13. Developing managing ICT project programmes.
14. Managing staff performance, strengthening retention of staff and blood donors through ICT systems.
15. Managing NBSZ data and communication systems.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

1. Degree in Computer Sciences/ Information Communication Technology
2. Masters degree in a related field will be an added advantage.
3. A full networking qualification will be an added advantage.
4. A minimum of2 years’ experience in a similar position.
