Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Headend Graduate Trainee that has arisen in the Corporation. The Transmission Graduate Trainee will report to the ICT Engineer.
Support the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of the Headend systems responsible for receiving, processing, multiplexing and distributing television and radio broadcasting signals, while acquiring practical skills in digital broadcasting technologies, signal processing, network management and content distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the operation and monitoring of headend equipment including encoders, multiplexers, and modulators.
  • Support signal acquisition from satellite, fibre, or other input sources.
  • Assist in configuring and maintaining broadcast streams (e.g., MPEG transport streams).
  • Participate in basic troubleshooting of signal loss, degradation, or service interruptions.
  • Monitor system performance and report faults or anomalies.
  • Assist in maintaining system logs, technical documentation, and operational records.
  • Support integration of new channels or services into the headend system.
  • Assist in routine maintenance and system upgrades.
  • Participate in OTT and digital platform support where applicable.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and operational standards within the headend environment.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

  • A Degree in Computer Science and Information Technology or related.
