Head Manufacturing
The incumbent will report to the Divisional Director Retail and key responsibilities includes coordination of electronic/ mechanical plant operations, logistics and plant routine maintenance ensuring compliance with Corporate policies and regulations.
Duties And Responsibilities
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Growth & Profitability
• Develops and implements profitable business model for the manufacturing plant.
• Effectively manage Human Capital requirements, production planning, inventory management, instrumentation calibration and plant modifications utilizing available technology.
• Formulates manufacturing strategies in sync with TelOne strategic plans as well as National Development strategies to enhance business growth.
• Identifies and negotiates partnership deals with reputable Manufacturing institutions within the region and beyond.
• Formulates and maintains internal quality processes and procedures to enhance service quality and assurance.
Systems Development
• Ensures that manufacturing equipment is maintained, supported and available as and when needed.
• Formulates production Policies & procedures in line with industry standards.
• Implements Lean Management for Assembly and Network Support activities.
• Implements Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001: 2015
Client Relationship Management
• Creates long term relationships with Clients, understands their demands, plan on how to meet the demands, maintain the portfolio and generate sales for the manufacturing plant.
• Proactively monitor Clients ‘ needs and take preventative and corrective action to meet the clients’ satisfaction.
Client Relationship Management

• Proactively monitor Clients ‘ needs and take preventative and corrective action to meet the clients’ satisfaction.
• Designs and implement Manufacturing Plant Client Relationship Management framework.
People Management
- Implements performance management and tracking dashboard for the department in line with TelOne corporate goals.
• Nurtures a desirable work culture that is conducive for high productivity at the workplace. Provides leadership, counselling and mentoring to staff.
• Undertakes all people management related activities in accordance with the TelOne’s Standards.
Qualifications And Experience
Qualifications / Experience
Degree in Mechanical /Electrical/Electronic/Telecoms Engineering/Computer Science MBA / MBL is an added advantage
Post Grad Diploma in Business/Project Engineering Management a must. Experienced in a highly automated ISO environment.
At least 5 years’ experience in an ICT and electronic production environment
Competencies
Strong business acumen, management and analytical skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with employees and stakeholders. Ability to translate insights into action.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
