Our organization, a leading commercial printing and packaging business, invites applications for the position of General Manager. This is a high impact leadership role central to driving operational excellence, production stability, commercial growth, and full turnaround of the business. This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving sales growth, product diversification, market expansion and new business development through innovation and customer engagement.
- Stabilising printing and finishing lines, including Offset Lithography, Flexography, Screen Printing, Rotogravure, and Digital (Inkjet/Laser) operations as guided by internal performance and maintenance targets.
- Implementing world class daily/weekly production routines, optimising manpower utilisation, enforcing preventive maintenance, and driving improved MTBF/MTTR metrics.
- Leading quality improvement initiatives, overseeing CAPA processes, and restoring confidence for key customers in beverages, FMCG, publishing, and packaging.
- Building a high-performance culture, strengthening teams, driving accountability, and ensuring workplace safety and training.
- Championing ethical procurement, improving materials planning, and reducing cost structures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a printing related field qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the manufacturing, printing and packaging industry.
- Strong understanding of modern printing processes and technology.
- Proven track record of managing production teams and meeting delivery deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of the printing industry certifications, regulations and safety standards.
