Key Responsibilities
- Preparing budgets in liaison with Heads of Schools and Departments.
- Managing the Trust’s cash resources and cash flows.
- Overseeing the internal audit function and maintaining a sound internal control environment.
- Supervising bookkeeping and salary administration functions.
- Liaising with banks and key suppliers.
- Conducting periodic cash counts with Bursars.
- Monitoring expenditure against approved budgets.
- Authorising online and manual payments.
- Reviewing payroll, month-end payments, and statutory remittances.
- Reviewing bank reconciliations and general ledgers.
- Preparing monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
- Performing any other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least five (5) years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience in the Education Sector is an added advantage.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Leadership, scheduling, and time management abilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prepare budgets and management reports.
