Job Description

A newly established Bank based in Harare is looking for a Finance Manager. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of financial concepts and principles, analyze and interpret financial data, good problem solving and leadership skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
2. develop and oversee the bank’s budgeting process, working with various departments to set financial targets and monitor performance against those targets.

4. Assess and put in place all financial risks of the bank.
5. Managing cash flow, liquidity, and investments.
6. . Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements like ZIMRA, NSSA, ZIMDEF.
7. Develop the strategy of the bank and finance.
8. Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard the bank’s assets and ensure the integrity of financial transactions.
9. Leading a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and training as needed.
10. Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial and accounting reports.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications
a. A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
b. Chartered Accountant (CA-Z).
Experience
i. At least 7 years of professional experience in the banking sector
ii. At least 3 years of management experience in a banking sector
