ZITA is currently searching for a detail-oriented and qualified Education Officer to join our education Department. The Education Officer is responsible for the planning, development, coordination, and evaluation of educational and professional development programs for members and students of the Institute. This role ensures that all educational offerings align with the Institute’s strategic goals, accreditation standards, and industry developments in taxation and accounting.
A passion for education will also be an added advantage, as you will be working on the ZITA Education programs with the relevant committee. In addition to being an excellent communicator, our ideal candidate will also demonstrate keen attention to detail with excellent communication and analytical skills. Technical knowledge of Taxation will also be an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and update course content, syllabi, and materials for tax and accounting-related programs.
- Organize and oversee continuing professional development (CPD) seminars, webinars, and workshops.
- Coordinate examination and certification programs including scheduling, content review, and assessment procedures.
- Manage all students to ensure that they are up to date with their assignments well before examination time.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure curriculum relevance and alignment with current tax laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Conduct curriculum reviews and recommend enhancements based on feedback and changes in the tax environment.
- Provide academic guidance and support to students enrolled in education programs.
- Respond to inquiries regarding course selection, progression, and certification pathways.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of education programs using feedback tools and performance metrics.
- Maintain compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with external educators, training providers, and regulatory bodies.
- Work with internal teams to promote education programs and initiatives.
Tax Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Taxation, Accounting, or a related field or professional tax/accounting qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in education, curriculum development, or professional training— preferably in a tax, accounting, or finance-related field.
- Strong understanding of tax and accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficient in learning management systems (LMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and digital content delivery tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a professional team environment.
