Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (Pvt) Ltd (ZCDC), aims to be a World Class Diamond Producer. Pursuant to resourcing its expansion projects, ZCDC seeks applications from qualified, experienced, and self-driven candidates to be considered for the following position that has arisen within the organisation:
Drone Pilot
Reporting to the Security Manager, the job is based at the Mine and is responsible for the following:
Summary of Duties:
- Operating the drones in order to ensure 24-hour aerial surveillance of all concession areas.
- Preparing and conducting remote air surveillance.
- Communicating with security details on the ground when violations or suspicious movements and activities are detected.
- Ensuring safety and maintenance of the drones.
- Preparing and presenting evidence for formal proceedings as and when required.
- Interpreting, applying, and ensuring compliance with regulatory air navigation law operations.
- Operating the drones to assist in other functions such as aerial mapping, airborne geophysics, dissemination of messages etc.

- Job Application Details Minimum Qualifications and Experience Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautical, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent. Training /Qualification in Digital Photogrammetry or Quantity Surveying an added advantage. At least three (3) years' experience in the drone industry. Security experience is an added advantage. Good and demonstrable knowledge of Aeronautics and Radiotelephony. Sound understanding ofSHEQ systems.
