Key Responsibilities
- Train local staff in safe and proper motor vehicle driving.
- Provide basic driving instruction for passenger vehicles and engineering vehicles, including trucks.
- Conduct both theoretical lessons and practical driving training in accordance with Zimbabwean traffic regulations.
- Conduct daily inspections of training vehicles and report any faults immediately.
- Monitor trainees’ progress and ensure safety throughout the training process.
- Conduct defensive and safety-driving awareness sessions.
- Educate drivers on key road-safety practises to reduce traffic violations and accidents.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence with at least 5 years of actual driving experience.
- Previous experience as a Driving School Instructor is highly preferred.
- Experience in truck/engineering vehicle driving instruction is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of vehicle construction and basic vehicle maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic rules.
- Patient and effective teaching skills.
- Strong safety awareness and a good driving record.
- Basic spoken English.
- Ability to follow company procedures and comply with Zimbabwean laws and regulations.
