Key Responsibilities
- Developing, adapting and implementing Information Communication Technologies, with particular attention to technology transfer, value addition and import substitution.
- Establishing vibrant ICT software development strategies.
- Providing expert ICT assistance to Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
- Coordinating the evaluation of ICT projects and ICT project management services, including systems design and development and user specification documents.
- Managing software quality assurance.
- Managing research and regularly publishing literature on ICT development trends.
- Supervising, coaching and appraising subordinates.
Requirements
- A degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Informatics or an equivalent qualification.
- A relevant higher degree in an IT-related field is an added advantage.
- Relevant IT-related certification is an added advantage.
- At least six (6) years’ experience at Officer grade or equivalent level.
- Extensive knowledge of application systems development, support and maintenance.
- Knowledge of network and hardware platforms.
- Exceptional ICT research skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to relate professionally at any level within and outside the Ministry.
