Key Responsibilities
- Teach Chemistry and Biological Sciences modules at NC level in accordance with the HEXCO curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials and assessments.
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratory practicals and student consultations.
- Assess students and supervise research projects, laboratory reports and industrial attachment reports.
- Maintain academic records and laboratory resources.
- Enforce laboratory health, safety, environmental and quality assurance standards.
- Participate in curriculum development, examinations, quality assurance and departmental activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Applied Biology or a related field.
- A Master’s Degree and a recognised teaching qualification will be added advantages.
- At least two years’ tertiary teaching experience will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and e-learning platforms.
