Key Responsibilities
- Teach Applied Chemical Technology at NC level in accordance with the HEXCO curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials and assessments.
- Deliver lectures, tutorials and laboratory practical sessions.
- Assess students and supervise projects and industrial attachment reports.
- Maintain academic records and ensure the safe management of laboratory equipment.
- Enforce laboratory health, safety, environmental and quality assurance standards.
- Participate in curriculum development, quality assurance and departmental activities.
- Mentor and support students academically.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Applied Chemical Technology, Chemical Technology, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- A Master’s Degree and a recognised teaching qualification will be added advantages.
- Tertiary teaching experience, particularly in HEXCO programmes, is preferred.
- Industrial experience in chemical manufacturing, laboratory operations or quality control is an added advantage.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in e-learning platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
