We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following position on a fixed term basis:
Diagnostic Radiographer
Main Responsibilities
Develop films and process digital images to obtain high quality radiographs
- Regular inspection of diagnostic equipment
- Adjust diagnostic equipment to deliver accurate amount of radiation to patients
- Developing treatment plans and overseeing the administration of radiotherapy for patients
- Setting accurate radiation levels in accordance with established standards Evaluate patient condition prior to radiotherapy
- Offer psychological support to patients and address their concerns regarding an imaging procedure
- Advise on occupational health and emergencies on radiography
- Recording and sorting of patients’ examination results
- Compliance with the Radiation Protection Act and other related Health and Safety guidelines to minimize risk of exposure to ionizing radiation
- Compiles monthly and annual reports
- Maintenance of valid registration certificates/licences of the radiographic equipment
Minimum Requirements
- A Diploma in Radiography, degree in radiography is an added advantage
- Working knowledge of Sonography an added advantage
- At least two years’ experience working in heavy industries or mining environment
- Registered with relevant professionaland Health Professions Councils
- Working knowledge of HSE systems and standards.
