We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following position on a fixed term basis:

Diagnostic Radiographer

Main Responsibilities

Develop films and process digital images to obtain high quality radiographs

• Regular inspection of diagnostic equipment
• Adjust diagnostic equipment to deliver accurate amount of radiation to patients
• Developing treatment plans and overseeing the administration of radiotherapy for patients
• Setting accurate radiation levels in accordance with established standards Evaluate patient condition prior to radiotherapy
• Offer psychological support to patients and address their concerns regarding an imaging procedure
• Advise on occupational health and emergencies on radiography
• Recording and sorting of patients’ examination results
• Compliance with the Radiation Protection Act and other related Health and Safety guidelines to minimize risk of exposure to ionizing radiation
• Compiles monthly and annual reports
• Maintenance of valid registration certificates/licences of the radiographic equipment

Minimum Requirements

• A Diploma in Radiography, degree in radiography is an added advantage
• Working knowledge of Sonography an added advantage
• At least two years’ experience working in heavy industries or mining environment
• Registered with relevant professionaland Health Professions Councils

• Working knowledge of HSE systems and standards.
