Credit Analyst (Fixed-Term Contract)

Homelink Finance, a financial institution with a focus on short and long term financing seeks to engage suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill up the role of Credit Analyst that have arisen within the organisation.

Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Operations and Channels Manager, the position will be responsible for the following:
• Conducting client visits and making recommendations to the company on bankable relationships.
• Effective credit analysis of new applications within the MSME’s segment.
• Evaluating client credit applications and compiling proposals for consideration by Credit Committee.
• All components of the lending budget designated for the MSME’s Division
• Ensuring good quality of lending, as measured by losses and provisions for bad debts and fraud.
• Carrying out annual credit reviews for all clients and employer arrangements.
• Dealing with legal counsel on security perfection and collection issues.
• Recommend updates to credit procedures and manage all operational and credit risks.

The successful candidate will possess the following

• A degree in either Finance, International Trade, Economics or Banking.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Credit Management.
• Proficient in credit reviews, Microsoft excel and relationship management.
• Experience in SME Lending, Agri-finance, Asset Finance will be an added advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of loan products and Loan Collection processes with a good understanding of risk management and procedures.
• Proven track record of implementing and utilizing technology.
• Strong analytical capabilities and ability to manage a number of stakeholders.
