COST CONTROLLER – JOBS ZIMBABWE

The company is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to fill in the position of Cost Controller which has arisen within the organization in Bulawayo. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Accountant and will be responsible for the following: Duties

• Ensure that departmental operational expenses are confined with budget and according to the business volumes and advice Departmental Heads of any anomalies so as to take corrective action.
• Ensuring the correct use of market lists by the Buyer as recommended by the Procurement Manager.
• Compile and analyze daily food and beverage revenues.
• Analyse all purchase done by Buyer on daily basis and ensure items are being bought at the best price and best quality.
• Conduct random inspections/spot checks of all storerooms to ensure that bin cards are being updated timeously, par stock levels are being adhered to and stock rotation on First in First out (FIFO) basis is being followed.
• Verify issues by the Store man have been authorized for by the relevant Heads of Departments with recipients signing forthe goods.
• Check that all revenues and covers figures are recorded correctly in the revenue journal as per system after the corrections, auto control book is up to date and all missing bills investigated.
• Liaise with the F&B Manager on updating the recipe costing monthly or as and when necessary.
• Check and verify all staff meals and staff discounts.
• Conduct stocktakes and produce inventory valuation report monthly

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• A qualification in Tourism and Hospitality will be an added advantage
• 2 years of experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
