Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain effective compliance programmes.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas of exposure.
- Provide guidance to management and staff on legal, regulatory and ethical obligations.
- Ensure that all regulatory reporting requirements are met accurately and within stipulated timelines.
- Monitor changes in legislation and advise the University accordingly.
- Promote and foster a culture of compliance, transparency and integrity across the Institution.
- Developing and reviewing compliance policies and procedure manuals.
- Assist in the development of compliance risk management and monitoring plans.
- Generate reports on results of ICT audits for presentation of the Chief Internal Auditor.
Requirements
- A Bachelors of Law Degree or a related field.
- Masters in Law, Strategic Management and Corporate Governance or related field.
- At least 3 years’ experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs.
- Sound knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks applicable to the sector.
- High levels of integrity with the ability to promote ethical conduct within the organisation.
