DevTech is seeking a local Chief of Party to lead in the management of country office activities for a USAID Education activity in Southern Africa. The Chief of Party will support activity having principal responsibility for project management and technical operations in country. S/He will serve as the primary point of contact with USAID on activity implementation and management.

In the role as Chief of Party will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Support EGRA assessor teams; and research study teams
  • Manage all field office personnel, including long-term personnel and STTA
  • Manage the completion of all deliverables, including baseline EGRA assessment, midline EGRA assessment, and research studies.
  • Participate in and provide oversight to EGRA assessments, data quality assessments, and research studies as specified by USAID.
  • Support the dissemination of EGRA assessment and research study results to key stakeholders
  • Manage project budget within the authority delegated by DevTech main office.
  • Organize and implement activity Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning.
  • Coordinate with the USAID COR to implement activities for the support of the Activity
  • Coordinate with the DevTech Systems Home Office Project Manager to assure completion of the Activity objectives and track progress to date.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • An advanced degree in Education or Education Management
  • Proven project management experience, including experience in the design and implementation of M&E programs, educational curricula, strategic plans, and education policies
  • Experience managing teams, especially for USAID-funded projects
  • Experience in administering EGRA and other education activities
  • Experience interfacing with stakeholders
  • Prior experience managing teams at the Deputy COP level
