The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) invites applications from exceptional leaders to take up the role of Chief Executive Officer, to drive the strategic positioning of Zimbabwe as a competitive, sustainable and globally recognised tourism destination in line with the National Vision 2030.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

Strategic Marketing Leadership

 

 

• Lead destination marketing, product development and branding.

• Align ZTA strategies with national tourism and economic priorities.

• Promote Zimbabwe in international tourism platforms and fora.

 

 

Business Development

 

 

• Promote diversification of ZTA revenue streams through partnerships and smart tourism initiatives.

• Drive tourism infrastructure development and digital transformation.

 

 

Governance and Resource Management

 

 

• Advise the Board on strategic direction and policy issues.

• Oversee budgeting, compliance, HR planning and performance management.

• Uphold high standards of accountability and integrity.

 

 

Stakeholder Engagement

 

 

• Strengthen partnerships with government, private sector, and global agencies.

• Represent ZTA in key negotiations and international cooperation fora.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

 

 

• A minimum of a Master’s degree in Marketing, Tourism and Hospitality or their assessed equivalent.

• A Masters in Business Administration OR Assessed Equivalent would be an added advantage.

• Minimum 5 years executive management experience.

• Proven track record in tourism marketing, stakeholder engagement, and resource mobilisation.
