Branch Controller

Applicants are invited to fill in the position of Branch Controller that has arisen at our branch located in Gweru.

Job Purpose
• Manages branch activities at the Gweru Branch.
• Assisting to achieve defined branch targets and contribute significantly to the profitable and optimal development of the business and its human resources in accordance with the policies defined by management.

Overall Responsibilities 
• Managing Branch Performance both financial and non financial indicators.
• Achieving defined branch targets exceeding monthly budget sales and contributing significantly to the organizations strategy.
• Sourcing new business, growing and maintaining existing clients.
• Offer clients comprehensive financial planning services such as retirement and estate planning.

• Monitor competitor activities and provide requisite market intelligence.
• Monitor the daily performance of Financial Advisors and staff at the Gweru Branch in order to promote a sound basis for staff development, performance related reward system and succession planning.
• Implementing the company’s strategy that promotes growth of quality business.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 5 years experience in a similar position in insurance industry.
• An Associate ship of Chartered Insurance Institute/Insurance Institute of South Africa will be an added advantage.
• A certificate of proficiency is an added advantage.
• At least a Diploma in Insurance from either Chartered Insurance Institute or Insurance Institute of South Africa.
• Possession of a commercial degree or Insurance and Risk Management will be an added advantage.
