Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily running of the boys’ boarding house.
  • Ensure discipline, safety, and spiritual well-being of all boarders.
  • Mentor, guide and counsel learners.
  • Supervise homework, study time and lights out.
  • Maintain boarding house records and reports.
  • Liaise with parents/guardians and school management.
  • Ensure boarding facilities are clean, secure and well maintained.
  • Ability to teach some subjects or execute administration duties as required.
  • Oversee the daily running of the girls’ boarding house.
  • Provide a caring, motherly and disciplined environment.
  • Prepare balanced and nutritious meals for learners.
  • Ensure cleanliness of dormitories, dining and kitchen areas.
  • Care for the health, hygiene and personal needs of learners.
  • Monitor learners’ attire, behaviour and well-being.
  • Keep boarding house records and inventory.
  • Liaise with parents/guardians and school management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 YEARS experience in a similar role
  • Seventh-day Adventist in good & regular standing
  • Minimum Diploma in Education
  • Knowledge in Accounting and record keeping
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Mature, responsible and committed to Christian values and lifelong learning.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to relate well with learners and staff
  • Committed to Christian values and role modelling
  • Ability to prepare food for large groups
  • First Aid knowledge (advantageous)
