About the Role
We are seeking a capable and driven Assistant Contracts Manager to support the delivery and administration of mining contracts across operational sites. This is a critical role for someone who thrives in high-responsibility field operations, supporting both strategic and day-to-day execution functions.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation, execution, and management of mining contracts.

Supervise and coordinate mining chargehands across multiple sites.

Monitor operational activities and support planning and problem-solving initiatives.

Enforce Integrated Management Systems (IMS) compliance: ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001.

Consolidate and validate daily reports and timesheets from site chargehands for submission.

Promote and ensure compliance with SHEQ policies and safety standards.

Support regulatory, legal, and environmental compliance efforts.

Attend site meetings and represent the Contracts Manager as required.

Identify cost control and operational efficiency opportunities.

Mentor chargehands and assist in talent development and succession planning.

Maintain close communication with client representatives to meet operational expectations.

Monitor equipment and manpower deployment, and assist procurement to avoid work delays.
Qualifications and Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.

Project Management certification is an added advantage.

Minimum of 5 years in mining operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or coordination role.
