Reports to the Deputy Bursar (Finance and Accounting),and will be responsible for the following learning:

Duties And Responsibilities

• Supervision of timeous and accurate recording of accounting transactions in accordance with the University Finance Regulations.
• Developing daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation procedures and programmes, to resolve and correct any unusual problems if systems are out of balance.
• Preparations of monthly and year-end financial accounts for onward adoption by the Deputy Bursar Finance and Accounting.
• Assist in the preparation of cash flow statements and management reports.
• Assisting in internal and external audits.
• Any other duty as may be assigned.

Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Finance/Banking.
• Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.
• Registered Public Accountant/Professional Qualification (ACCA, CA, CIS, CIMA) is an added advantage.
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience with traceable references.
