The role encompasses full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, cash flow management, costing, compliance, and transaction processing within Zimbabwe. Key Responsibilities

  • Transaction Processing – Capture daily financial transactions accurately to maintain real time financial records.
  • General Ledger – Perform comprehensive monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, petty cash, and key ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
  • Debtors Management and Collections – Proactively manage the accounts receivable function by issuing customer statements, performing regular follow-ups on overdue accounts, and ensuring the Debtors Ageing Report remains within company-approved limits.
  • Accounts Payable Management – Manage the end-to-end invoicing process, ensuring supplier invoices are verified, captured, and proactively followed up for payment.
  • General ledger Reconciliations – Perform comprehensive monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, petty cash, and key ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
  • Management Reporting Support – Assist the Head of Finance in compiling data for monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
  • Tax and Statutory Compliance – Support preparation and submission of VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, and other statutory returns.
  • Treasury and Cash Flow – Provide operational support for cash flow monitoring, inter-company transaction tracking and daily treasury reconciliations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; progress towards ACCA/CA/CIMA
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting or financial management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Quickbooks, Sage)
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and financial control principles
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
